A certain Mitchell Powers of Savannah, Georgia sent me a very nice email about the book. He also suggested that I shouldn’t have been wearing a black polar fleece in my author photo, in case polar fleeces fall heavily out of favor in the future and come to be seen as a sign of moral and/or intellectual depravity. Clearly, this is the sort of damaging misperception that I need to get in front of before all hell breaks loose: for the record, I am wearing a black cotton sweater in the picture, not a polar fleece. But thank you, Mitchell, for your concern and advice.

Michael Rubens is a television writer and producer whose credits include CNN, the Travel Channel, Oxygen, and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he was a field producer. The Sheriff of Yrnameer is his first novel. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, to help alleviate that area's critical shortage of writers and producers.
