I just finished The Sheriff of Yrnameer while on vacation and I have to say it was one of the most entertaining books I have ever read. People stared at me strangely as I laughed out loud during most of it. Great writing!

Thanks for the kind words! It really means a lot to an author to hear from people who like the work. Well, this author, anyway. I might be weird.

Read it a while ago and it’s the next on the list for me to write about. Spoiler alert – I loved it (especially Kenneth, whom I read the lines of with the voice of Tim Curry) and it’s a fucking shame that stores don’t keep it with the rest of the proper literature. Any self respecting reader or collector should keep SoY right next to Vonnegut on their shelves. Here’s hoping for a sequel!

Heck, I’m just happy if the stores keep it in the stores. I love the Tim Curry idea — someone else suggested Donald Sutherland, but Tim Curry is probably closer to the image I have in my head. Thanks for reading it (and for liking it). Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some Carl Matheson to read….

Matheson seems to think that it’s edgy to take a non-stance on pop culture issues that it’s silly to care about in the first place. I’m sorry if my tangent on him wasted any of your time haha.

Anyways, the review is up, and hopefully the book gets a few sales. Good luck to you in future pursuits! I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for new Rubens releases.

Thanks so much for that great review! I’m expecting to get flamed by some Vonnegut fans, but I guess that comes with the territory.
